Those of us participating in DAM are good organizers. We know what we have to do to make this happen and we know how to carry this out on the ground. However, what we have in organizational skill we lack in resources, and in order for these crucial actions to take place we need your help. There are several ways in which you and/or your organization can contribute to this project. Please consider assisting us in the following ways:
Donate:
Our project will take six of us to Israel/Palestine for several weeks and the total cost of this trip and the production of the documentary means we have a projected budget of $18,500 and so we must raise at least that amount. All donations will go towards the costs incurred by the speaking tour and subsequent film. Funds will be applied to airfare, transportation, promotional materials, equipment, and post-production costs. (If you would like to see a copy of our budget please email us.) If you or your organization can consider making a financial contribution to this project then that would bring us that much closer to making it a reality. Volunteer:
DAM wants to engage in many types of fundraising and would very much appreciate your assistance in this process. We will be organizing concerts and events in order to make this happen, so if you have access to venues, bands, or anything else that might help please let us know. We’ll need volunteers to assist with this as well, so if you have any extra time to donate we’d love to take advantage of that. Or, if you feel up to organizing your own benefit, then by all means do so and let us know how we can help!
Other Assistance:
There are other types of donations that we would be more than happy to receive. For example, some people have large numbers of frequent flyer miles which can be transferred to others for use. This type of donation could subtract a considerable amount of time from our very stripped-down budget. Others may have access to printing services that could be used for promotional materials. There are many ways you can help. If you have access to these types of materials that could lower our costs, then please think about making a donation to DAM.
With your help DAM can bring U.S. resisters, Palestinians, and Israeli anti-militarists together to take a united stand against militarism and foster dialogue about how to transform our societies and find a new way forward.
